Founder & CEO of EMBRACE LIFE Enterprises, Dr. Renai Ellison began her journey as a Life & Leadership Development Coach & Consultant nearly 15 years ago after a successful career as a full-figured model, actress, and international television host. She now serves as a Mentor Coach with the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC), where she received her second coaching certification in 2015. Renai is also credentialed as an International Coaching Federation (ICF) Professional Certified Coach (PCC).

Her immediate past role was Interim Executive Director for a non-profit organization where she began as a Reconciliation Consultant. Renai is an experienced consultant, coach, trainer, and speaker. Renai’s dedication and training as a leader has afforded her opportunities to work as an executive coach and/or trainer for leaders at BMW of North America, New York Department of Citywide Administrative Services, and the Division of Behavioral Health and Intellectual Disabilities. She also coached and facilitated training programs for physicians and other medical professionals at healthcare organizations. 

 

Renai’s career is rooted in an impressive 30 + years as a television host, actor, and model. After a stint as a model and show host on QVC, she created a clothing line on QVC and then co-hosted a home décor and craft series on HGTV called “Our Place.” Renai hosted “For Women Only”, a live, medical, call-in show on WPSJ-TV. She embarked on national media tours and appeared on countless morning shows across the country. Often serving as Fundraising Host for New Jersey Network (NJN) Public Television, Renai hosted national PBS fundraising shows. For 14 years, Renai served as Host of the New Jersey Lottery on NJN and has made personal appearances for the lottery throughout the state of New Jersey. Renai executive produced and hosted Embrace Life with Renai, a human-interest television program sponsored by a healthcare system, which aired on WMCN in the Philadelphia regional market and later on THIS IS IT TV. She hosted Joy in Our Town, a public affairs television show featured on Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) and served as a reporter/host for Better Philly, a women’s magazine show, on My PHL17 in Philadelphia. She hosted YOUR DELAWARE on DeTV and a weekly, interview TV show on Princeton Community Television called REAL TALK ON RACISM.

Renai’s dissertation is focused on A Narrative Inquiry of Black Women’s Ministry Leaders. She is an expert on the topic of women’s ministries serving as a source of social support and providing relationship, connection, and community. She is well-versed on the topic of anti-racism and Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI).
